Hello, due to COVID restrictions there are rules around entering the USA.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspension-entry-immigrants-nonimmigrants-certain-additional-persons-pose-risk-transmitting-2019-novel-coronavirus/

At Section 2 (a)(i),  any lawful permanent resident of the United States is exempt from entry ban.

Wanted to confirm that my husband, with his two-year conditional greencard is considered a "lawful permeant resident"

Thanks!

if he got a green card from USCIS - yes he is a lawful permanent resident

if he got it from somewhere else - than may be not

Ha!

Okay thanks for the responses.  I think what tripped me up is that one time I called the Global Entry program hotline to see if my husband was eligible, since also had the requirement of "lawful permeant resident" and the person had no idea. :D

  • Green card holders can get GE as well as citizens of other countries even if it's just a B2.
