Proof of Citizenship

If I'm using my passport as proof of citizenship do I just send a photocopy of my ID/bio page?  Or all the pages?

Just the bio page of your unexpired US passport.

Another question, if its going to expire in October 2021 could then be a problem if our petition wasn't approved yet? I know that's very unlikely, but would it be a problem if it happened?

As far as I know it wouldn't be a problem. I-129F is filed at a point in time so as long as it's valid at the time of filing, you're fine.

From I-129F instructions:

 

 

You passport has to be valid and unexpired, and good for at least 5 years from the date of issue (temporary or emergency passports cannot be used).  It does not matter when it expires as long as that date is after the filing date of your I-129F.

Okay thank you! And you agree that I only need to send a photocopy of the bio page? And not of all of the pages?

ID page only.  The other pages are proof of travel not proof of citizenship
