My son started traveling the world with us (first wife) before age 1.  I wouldn't have had any issues taking him to Morocco.  Being up on vaccinations is key (and taking those records with you too).  Mexico, England, Italy and Egypt all by age 2.

Our daughter is bottle fed.  Being a first time mom, I’m paranoid.  I don’t want anything happening to her hence my fears.  I worry about the water in Morocco. Yes... she received all her vaccinations for 6 months. I have the booklet. I have the problem... I just worry for her.

K-1 visas are not currently being interviewed at the Casablanca consulate yet due to COVID restrictions. It's unclear as to when they will begin interviewing K-1 cases again. So unfortunately you have a bit of a frustrating wait ahead of you. The only thing worse than a slow moving case is a case that is seemingly stuck with no timeline to move forward. Hopefully they will begin processing K-1s again very soon.

You are indeed correct... it is quite frustrating but it’s out of our hands and so we wait and live in hope that one day we will be together. I just feel sad for our daughter... she needs her father.

I hear you - I travel tons and am immunocompromised on top of being allergic to  . . . everything.   Look on Amazon for Lifestraws (my favorite) and other filtration systems.  I keep a set in my go bag for work (next to my epipen) ;) and everyone wants to buy them off me.

things for and against a visa

1.  of child bearing age is good

2.  having martial relations and a child when not married is against the laws of Morocco

It's a real blow to all the modernists who thought Morocco was moving forward." According to article 490 of the penal code, Moroccans can be jailed for having sexual relations outside marriage. This is based on Islamic law, which bans unmarried people from engaging in sexual activity.Aug 9, 2012

So,  what will be important is how the CO looks at the case/  some are Moroccans hired by embassy and can be strict

others are USC and more liberal

You may feel an outcast by the women in Morocco on your next visit because of the above so just be prepared

also be prepared for a denial of K1 and prepare to marry if that happens

and our age gap was a lot larger so we had a long fight to get his visa

hang in there and do WHATEVER USCIS says to do

Thank you for the information.  Feeling like an outcast is no problem... it’s actually quite common in California... specifically Orange County.

We will be ready for what is to come and will provide whatever is necessary. We have done our part and now wait. If we receive a denial then at least that is an answer and we can proceed with getting married.

It is so important that his mother approves of the relationship / that can be your " make or break " so i hope any photos you sent have you with his mom

and trust me ,  this gets to be long and drawn out with the new AP process after the interview and no updates from the embassy / CEAC site will actually go to refused until the case is decided /  then it will say denied or issued

best to you

sometimes this process is heartbreaking so keep the romance going and forget immigration unless they need something

and most airlines have the baby bed that attached to the back of the wall if you choose one of the seats with the escape door

I have not physically met his mother because we have traveled outside of Morocco.  We met on Skype so no photos together.

I guess it is very crucial for us to travel to Morocco in the upcoming year. I just worry for her safety.

other than the covid,  she will be fine  / family will be very protective //just neighbors will be judgmental

you need his mom's blessings

take plenty of masks,   sanitizer,   baby wipes (for you too )/ when we went to Europe just before the shutdown, we took masks, sanitizer and vinyl gloves

and limit travel especially to the big markets like Marrakech (go back another time to see it )

Be sure when you chat that you can print out a few pages (over extended timeframe) to show this/ Casa seems to ask for this a lot now

We did the same with ours, including spending half of his first year abroad, including several months spent in very primitive living conditions in Portugal.  We were pretty adventurous.  It wasn't always ideal, but now as adults my kids are still world travelers, with excellent immune systems :-).

OP, as an RN, I'd also like to point out that airplane travel for infants is not ideal, given the mask situation.  I would probably wait until a child was old enough to keep a mask on for the duration of the flight.  I was recently on a 5 hour flight, and there were coughers and sneezers.  I kept my mask and goggles on, and used lots of hand sanitizer.

I know that masks are not required for children under two, but there is little data about the impact of COVID19 infection in young babies, so I would be extra careful and listen to your mom instinct.  Best wishes.

She’s 6 months.  To trust my gut is to not go for I fear about those coughs and sneezes that are recycled in the air system. Morocco has a poor health system and being a first time mom.  I fear but what do I do in this situation if it is necessary for me to have photos with future mom in law?

I get that, completely.  When did you file?  The pandemic, and the delays for K-1 interviews at Casablanca will buy you some time before you would need to travel back.

I filed December 2019. Received no1 in December 30, and NO2 in April. I wanted to go see him when I was pregnant but I had a high risk pregnancy and had appointments every other week.  Then COVID hit and borders closed. File is still at NVC
