So happy to finally be part of the NOA2 group!

NOA1: March 26th, 2020

NOA2: November 19th, 2020

@Greenbaum do you have the P3 for Costa Rica?.

P3 Letter for Costa Rico

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DGi7puUW79v68Y1H6DAwaOT4tx8RYiuP/view?usp=sharing

Costa Rico thread where others from your country are sharing ideas about the process

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

Anyone here sent an inquiry at NVC?

No one needs to send an inquiry to NVC as it has been written in about every thread that NVC is not going to move the completed files to the embassy till the embassies open and ask for their case files. Just keeping it real. If you are referring to get your case number you don't email them as they will not reply with a case number until the file is shipped. You can call them and get the case number and with the CN you can finish the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application but that's about all. You don't want to schedule medical or book an interview if your case is not at the embassy. We find the embassies lock down ustravel so that you are unable to schedule if our case file is not at the embassy.

Yes. The reason we want to send an inquiry is to get our case number so we can monitor our petition. We've seen people send their inquiry on the 2nd week after getting their NOA2s. Just wanna try our luck too.

Hello everyone! 😀

NOA 1 March 19

NOA 2 November 20

Hope to hear from NVC soon!

Congratulations. Be sure to download the PDF page in the first post of the first page of this thread for things to do at this stage.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hi,👋

I would like to clarify about the TIPS, TRUCKS and HACKS PDF.

Do the numerical instractions such as step1 in What's Next! match each number in the FAQ?

I'm not sure if I misunderstood but, I did contact NVC yesterday even tho our email addresses was not changed.

Thank you,

V/R

Hello if I have received my NOA2 by mail. Should I start preparing for I-134 packet and send it to my fiance or it is too early to do so since the embassy is closed for interviews?

And does any paper in I-134 packet has an expiration or a valid date?

Thanks

You can start preparing your I-134, Affidavit of Support but be flexible as things tend to change especially form active dates so be sure when you submit your final documentation that you have the most current form. Otherwise, that would cause a delay until such time as you resubmit with the new form. The information that supports the I-134, Affidavit of Support requires it to be up to date. For instance, the tax transcript needs to be with the current year of taxes paid. If you submit the bI-134, Affidavit of Support before April 2021 then you would use 2019 taxes. If after you would submit 2020 taxes. I hope this answers your questions. My opinion is that you wait until you are a little closer to having your interview so you're not having to change what you have already gathered.
