Hi Guys,  I received the following email a few days before my medical appointment

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for booking an appointment for your immigration medical with Visa Medicals Ltd.

Your immigration profile has now gone online (eMedical online system), so you are no longer required to bring any photos with you on the day. You are still required to bring the rest of the paperwork as stated in your confirmation email.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Visa Medicals Team

This was actually quite funny to me as I hate having my photo taken for documents so I literally spent a small fortune on going to the photo booths and having my hair all brushed etc until I was happy on a set of pics that were okay. I present them proudly at the medical and they inform me they are taking a digital photo of me, I looked awful, I’d been blown around on the tube and had a woolly hat on that morning and had a horrible stress spot appear that morning on my face!,, honestly, 😂

Great to know!!

Hi All,

Our CR1 case was documentarily qualified in August 2022 and is currently at NVC. Our interview location was just transferred to the London embassy yesterday. Does anyone have any idea when we can expect to get an interview letter? Thanks!

Well you have the ones you like to take to the interview to be on your visa. The medical photos don’t get shown around or seem by you again.  At the interview they take one photo, from you, scan it, and hand it back.

I took my own photos and my wife and I have done our own passport photos. You can take lots until you’re happy. There is an online tool to use provided by the US Dept of State. It sizes them properly.

Go back in this thread and read it. This question is asked often and people answer with speculative guesses. There’s some data charts just a few pages back.

This is my spreadsheet btw, with names removed. The shortest IL to interview I've seen recently here and on FB is 21 days for that 12 Jan cohort. I'm going to keep my medical on that day as I'm going on holiday the following day and I am hoping my interview date will be for after I get back! I want to avoid the risk of not being here to have my medical with enough clearance.

Hi and thanks for sharing this!

I wonder how they prioritize cases that were recently transferred to London but DQ several months ago. Looking at your spreadsheet and hoping we make the next batch considering our DQ date of Aug 15.

You mentioned FB as one of your data sources. Is there a FB group for London cases ? If so could you please share the name. Thanks!

Several posts about the Medical have been split from this thread into a new thread in this forum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
