Hi all,

Looking to figure out if the wait for the passport to be returned after the interview is actually 7-10 business days or if that is just them covering themselves for mess ups?
I know you aren’t supposed to plan anything until you have the visa in hand but I am going to be on a time crunch to start a new job so trying to rough plan.

DQ April 3rd

IL April 26th

Interview date June 8th

Thanks!

3 working days so quick - hopefully same for us

Is anyone a dual citizen? Shortly after my interview my wife is coming over from America and we are having a holiday in Europe so planning on using my second passport to go overseas and when we get back to England picking up my passport/visa from the courier service place in Holborn - I think this should be ok?

Wow that’s fast, thanks!

Another question,

The embassy states the medical should be done 5 days before interview, but visa medical told us today that it has to be 10!

has anyone done in in less than 10 working days and had the medical ready for the interview?
going to have to change a 17hr flight if it has to be 10!

I was told it takes 5 working days for the medical centre to process your results and then another 5 working days for them to send it over to the enbassy

This happened to me too. Apparently the chest x-ray and any other tests you have done at the medical no longer get processed there. They are now sent off to a lab for processing so this adds extra time. I scheduled my medical for 2 weeks prior to the interview.

I have heard that if you attend the interview and the medical report isn’t there, then you just go into a processing state pending the results. It may only hold you up a few days.
