It seems I cannot edit my own post. I found the answer to my first question--no we don't have to pay for i-864 thrice. We only need to pay once. When I selected to pay the AOS fee, this appeared on top:

I don't know how the AOS will reflect on all the cases (as it seems we cannot use a single CEAC account). I'm still searching and hopefully I can find out.

21 Oct 2020: I-130 approval                              

25 May 2021: Interview

5 June 2021: Entered the US
