I need help to help a friend who is a us citizen file for his spouse and 2 stepchildren who came and visitors visa and didn't go home. Do they file I 130 and i145  separately for each of them so 3 of each?. Also is medical done now to be sent in with I145 and I130 or later on when they request it?

Strongly suggest you ask them to join the site, information, maybe important information could otherwise be missed.

Second the suggestion that your friend create his own account.

You've already gotten one form wrong.  It''s not an I-145.  It's an I-485.

You're right wrote the wrong form here but wouldn't have instructed anyone  to file a 1145 because it doesn't exist just a minor error here. Person doesn't really use the computer hence the reason I'm trying to get the right into for them. Thanks

This is really a DIY site, sounds like in this case they would be best paying a Lawyer to handle their case.

There is already some crucial information not provided which is always the problem with relaying backwards and forward for a friend.

The intention is noble, but who will be held accountable if something goes wrong and your friend says they were only following what you recommended? Think carefully about how far you want to go when "helping" with such a life-changing process. Immigration requires money, time and knowledge. If your friend is not a computer person, best course of action is to hire a lawyer.

There are cheap computers. Sponsorship sounds like an issue with someone who doesn't have a computer.

I have filed for my wife and 2 step daughters that came here on visitors visas. Yes they each need their own forms. i-130, i-485, i-765, i-864, i-944, I-131.  They will do the medical after then get a notice for the 485 interview. If the kids are old enough they can sign their own paperwork, make sure everything is signed. They must pay attention to detail because even a small mistake can risk the application being rejected or denied. Make sure all the codes are correct. Make sure everything is filled out and triple checked.  I had an attorney review my paperwork and they found some things that I missed.  So it is a good thing to spend $400 to have an attorney review the paperwork. Make sure they pay for each application, there isn't a one charge for family.  Look at the fees app on the immigration site and make sure to pay the full amount.

My wife came to the US on an F1 visa about 10 years ago.
