Timeline for Receiving Passport After Final Interview

Hi all,

 

Could you please tell me your experience of how long it took to receive your passport after you were approved at your final interview? My husband was approved Thursday in London and I am trying to figure out if he will be be here for our daughters birthday next weekend. He was told 1-2 weeks, so trying to get a feel for exact timing. Thanks in advance!

Average has always been a week (7days) however lately with less visas to get out, 3-4 days happens. Check your CEAC status and watch for it to change to ISSUED. Then it will be turned over to the courier to package up and get delivered to you. They are supposed to send you a tracking number when it goes out. Delivery is usually one day after dispatch.

 

Does yours say “Issued” yet? What date?

I was also approved on Thursday morning, and mine is still just at "Ready". I'm guessing it will be towards the end of next week. Fingers crossed he could get there for her birthday but it might be cutting it a bit fine.

Thanks for your replies. I just checked and his status still says ready as well. We just can’t wait for him to be back with us.

Hi there, I'm also looking as to when to book flights. Hoping you get your passport in the next couple of days? Please let us know when you get updates etc... Cheers.

Just checked this morning and mine has now changed to Administrative Processing. We might be in luck, OP.

I assume this means they are printing the visa somewhere in the embassy basement.. 🤔

Yep, ours has changed as well. It says if your case has been approved, it will be processed and mailed within 2 business days. Fingers crossed.

Mine just changed to Issued as well  Now to wait for it to be handed over to the courier! Quicker than I expected.

Very exciting! I asked my husband if he received any info about tracking but he didn’t. Do they just send you a text/email when tracking becomes available?

Interview was Thursday at 11, so really 2 working days.

I received an automated email from the Embassy about half hour ago saying they have released documents to the courier, with a link to DX tracking. Apparently they will try and deliver it tomorrow! (I'm getting it sent to my work).

Great stuff... Hoping they keep up this pace
