Considering the folks doing this kind of thing are not really fighting for social justice, but rather looking to create a radical economic shift toward Socialism/Marxism, it is not really surprising that they would tear down a statue to Lincoln, or the other abolitionists that have also been brought down.

You are making zero sense. You know the agenda. It's been clear from day 1 that this is about protesting white supremacy and the embodiments of it.

Just because Lincoln's statue and some other's not tied to the confederacy were casualties does NOT take away from the agenda.

And oh since you bring up socialism, maybe you should know that Social security, car insurance/health insurance, medicare/medicaid, free public school education ( K through 12) e.g. are all aspects of socialism that have contributed to how great America is. Because MLK had major MeToo issues, things that are now quite rightly found completely unacceptable.

Thankfully we have history books (before you guys burn them all), or as you call them, "right wing propaganda sites", that demonstrate that the respect for these individuals to place them on monuments, had little to nothing to do with slavery. 

 

Current/recent history shows that the desire to topple statues and destroy monuments has nothing to do with ending any racism or white supremacy (which is why lefties wilt when challenged on this and throw kiddy tantrums or just ignore it), but the desire to inflict as much damage as possible to try and hurt the big bad orange man.

The anti statue toppling/removing protesters were characterized by "fringe" white supremacists that were present. Those people there to protest the removal were half of what Trump referred to by "fine people", the other half being those who peacefully counter protested the protesters, as in not idiots who were there to engage in extremist/violent acts on either side. It was explained rather clearly and then reiterated over and over, so insisting that it was to support white supremacists anyways is an act of malice to smear someone you have personal animus toward. It's not for any benevolent reason. 

 

Furthermore, you've incorrectly suggested people who actually respect American history and culture (which rationally looks at the people and their contributions in their time not just ours and in the most extreme way, their actions being deemed deserving by others at a later date worthy of remembrance) are racists because they don't peddle your history ignoring and destructive violence supporting narratives. What you claim to be a contribution in "their time" that needs to be celebrated has NEVER been right. Remember, wrong is wrong regardless of when that wrong was done. So are you saying, Adolf Hitler and his henchmen should be celebrated with statues etc. and the Nazi flag flown everywhere? Because by your same argument, over 80% of Germans supported their movement during the time. So does it make it right?. You see where I am going.. Just stop it, man.

Throughout our conversation, you've been hinting at some obscure "history books", "articles" etc. and have never been able to provide a single credible source to back it. I will believe it when you provide evidence. Outside of that, you have zero substance.
