I’m wondering if I should contact nvc.

My k1 visa petition, as far as I know, is still at the nvc. My petition was approved back on June 5th. The approval was valid until October 4th but I do realize that I don’t need to be concerned with that with the current pandemic going on. But since I have yet to hear from the nvc about my new case number, I’m wondering if I should email them and provide them my email address and ask for the case number because I honestly don’t know if they have my email address or not. I did send my email address with my petition but that doesn’t mean they have it. The website states not to contact unless for emergencies but I am just wondering if they would at least give me the case number. I have heard about the k1 visas now have so called top priority but it doesn’t appear that the embassy in the Philippines is paying any attention to that. If anyone can advise me about this issue that would be great.

K1s are not top priority.   When NVC ships your file you will be contacted.   If you want to contact them, you can.

YMMV

Join us in the JUNE 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY thread and download the PDF file on the first post of the first page for tips, tricks and hacks to follow your case to the embassy. I'll post the link below:

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/740044-june-2020-k-1-noa2-to-nvc-to-embassy/

The PDF will guide you and answer most of your questions at the stage you are in. It has the phone number in which to call for your case number. K-1's are not presently being adjudicated at USEManila so having the case number is not a priority for use. Yes, you can complete your DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application with the case number but other than that you are stuck for the mean time.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

There are instructions from Hank which will help you to navigate the process once the file arrives at USEM.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.
