Wrong name on the interview letter

they spelled my wife's name wrong on the interview letter. will this cause any issues with the interview process? wife is going to visit the VFS office to check on this but any input from you guys will be appreciatd.

Should not create a problem. The consulate will issue the visa as per the name in your passport. I would suggest calling the consulate to inform of this and to see what they suggest.

My name didnt match the passport when I received my letter but after speaking to the consulate they said its not a problem and that the visa would be issued as per the name in the passport. Hope this helps.

It should not create any problem. But you should inform it to the Embassy by emailing them.

i feel interview letter is important

moreso i feel last name should be spelt correctly

its better u contact embassy before hand to get it corrected , n to avoid any complications later .

No it is not important. The rest of the interivew process looks at your passport and approval papers with case number rather than your interivew letter. We checked with Local VFS office. Though, i emailed Mumbai consulate whom sent us another interview letter with correct info on it in PDF format.

Same thing happened to me, my fiancee's middle name got mistranscribed by NVC. Chennai embassy said this will be corrected at the time of the interview.
