Hi All,

Seems like a lot of us are stuck in the pre-interview limbo.

Any updates from anyone?

My PD is Aug 2019 and have been "ready to be scheduled for interview" since Jan 2020, AOS married to USC. No update since then, This is pretty frustrating X-(

Please keep the group posted if you see any movement.

I started the thread - I’ve been in the ‘ready to be scheduled for an interview’ since June 2020 and that feels long, but your wait has been even longer! I wonder if there is any way of finding out what is going on at specific field offices - all of the processes are pretty transparent until you get to AOS, and it totally depends on where you live. Lots of other offices seem to be doing interviews, but judging by this thread, Sacramento is at a complete standstill...

You're right. No way to find out once your case is assigned to the local field office, as far as I know. Thanks for starting the thread, lets keep each other posted if we hear anything.

Nothing, and truthfully at this point, I hope they wait a few more months so we'll get the 10 year GC and not the conditional. Will cost us less! :)

Yup, true. I am in the same boat, have waited so long that I should be eligible for 10y now. This wait though!!

If it gets approved more than 2 years after the marriage, do you automatically get the 10y GC? I’d happily wait another ~9 months if it meant I didn’t have to file ROC!

Thats correct, if you have been married for 2 years at the time of your interview, you get the 10y GC directly in most cases.

Hello. I just found this thread. Have been wondering if anyone else was stuck in AOS purgatory or not. Looks like I'm not alone. Been ready to schedule since 12/19. What a long wait. While my wife and I are not anxious about the wait, family and friends who don't fully understand the process are questioning us if we made mistakes since I did everything myself instead of paying a lawyer. Reason being is my wife has two friends who also did AOS but live in different state and they both got their GC already. One friend lives in DC and summited her AOS about the same time and got her interview in January. Another friend lives in Portland, OR and submitted her AOS early 2020 and got her interview earlier this year too. Both went through lawyers. Been struggling to explain the process to folks who just doesn't understand how the Visa process works. Sorry for the rant. Anyways, while it sucks to be waiting so long for the interview, it is a little comforting that we are not alone in this wait.

I've been ready to schedule since 9/2020. Based on your timeline; it should still be a long wait for me. I used a lawyer so I doubt that is the reason for the delay. I checked USCIS website today and Sacramento is working on April 19 receipt date. Yes, there are a bunch of us waiting, just grateful for the combo card. Hang in there!

We finally got our fingerprint letter after waiting almost a year!

Congrats! Just had a look at your timeline - so sorry you had to wait that long just for the Bio appointment! I was very lucky to get one of the last appointments before everything shut down last year. I hope the EAD arrives soon!

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, how long did it take for you to get EAD since finger print?

And thank you for your kind words!
