Husband has something called a PI. Some kind of tiny device he programs with. He installed hundreds of old games on it for me. If you have any programming/tinkering skills look into RetroPie.

Are the Pi's good enough nowadays to play emulators like Dolphin? Even our Shield Pro struggles with it, so we have to have our desktop media boxes play it.

They are pretty good. My friend set his up to be a pop up blocker for when he goes to those "special websites". Now he is ad free watching special ladies

I'm familiar with the Raspberry Pi.  SO many uses for them.  But I'll look, thanks for the tip.

 

Though I am a Computer Systems Engineer and a Network Specialist, I have given up the building and programming game (it was taking up too much time to stay on top of things).  Last computer I built was a home theater PC with 4TB of HDD space that booted in about 12 seconds back in 2010.  Built several gaming systems before that, with wicked graphics abilities.
