I didn't read this whole thread, so apologies if I am repeating something.

 

I found it easy to find the Hunter Biden porn, and drug scenes.  Most, but not all, appear to be real.  Unless it is an extraordinary editing job, it is Hunter Biden.  I'm sure that experts could determine if it was real or not.  Has anyone seen any real effort to prove that they are fakes?  If not, I will assume they are real.

 

Can you imagine if that was a son or daughter of Trump, or another prominent conservative?  It would be headline news forever and probably be plastered on billboards!  IMHO.

The collusion of mainstream media and Big Tech to censor The Post’s Hunter Biden story now is laid bare in leaked recordings of CNN’s news meetings from the time.

CNN boss Jeff Zucker is heard instructing his staff to downplay the bombshell story which implicated Joe Biden in a shady foreign-influence peddling scheme, according to audio released Tuesday by undercover news outlet Project Veritas.

On the morning of Oct. 14, the day we published an e-mail from Hunter’s abandoned laptop in which a top executive from corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma thanked Hunter for arranging a meeting with his then-VP father, CNN political director David Chalian is heard telling Zucker and his underlings that the news network would not cover the story.

“Obviously, we’re not going with the New York Post story right now on Hunter Biden,” said Chalian. “We’ll just continue to report out this is the very stuff that the President was impeached over . . . that Senate Committees looked at and found nothing wrong in Joe Biden’s interactions with Ukrainians.”

Chalian, who oversees all CNN’s political coverage, was not being straight with his colleagues.

This was new evidence reflecting on Joe Biden’s integrity, suggesting that despite repeated denials, he had met with an executive of the company which was paying his wayward son up to $83,000 a month to sit on its board, at a time when Burisma was looking for favors from the US government and he was vice president.

Daily Kos has been around since 2002, established by a Boston University School of Law graduate and former Republican. Also former US Army.

Are you telling me you'd accept Daily Kos as a source based on that criteria?

I do the same as well when some tries to quote something from a highly partisan website. I really try to stay away from using sites to "back up" my claims because it is disingenuous and feeds in to that narrative that you or I don't get outside of our bubbles.

This is why the narrative that traditional media outlets are corrupt etc is so dangerous. Because if you can't trust the traditional press, then you get your news from biased sites and your crazy uncle who posts disinformation on Facebook. This was (and is) a very targeted disinformation campaign on our social norms, and it was very successful. If you've been conditioned to distrust the Associated Press, if you've been mislead to believe George Soros controls "the media," then a blog that contains words like "patriot" and "truth" sounds really good to a lot of people.

 

And of course, traditional media outlets have to get it right 100% of the time, because that one time they get something wrong is fed into the echo chamber and used to "prove" how biased and fake traditional media is. It's a no-win situation. Education is the vaccine, but like other vaccines you can't really force people to take it. For a lot of people, living in that echo chamber that continues to reinforce their own biases is the ultimate comfort food.

So what was your feeling on the OP topic where FB and Twitter locked a traditional news outlet because they reported on something disagreeable?

This is true and this is why the whole freaking Russian narrative thing blew up because people were reading this BS stories about the pee tapes thinking it was true. When in reality they couldn't be farther from the truth

I have several thoughts.

1) Twitter and Facebook are private companies. They are allowed to control the content on their website in the same way VJ is. It's not a violation of the first amendment as the president and so many others claim.

2) The Hunter Biden story has failed the smell test multiple times. You will probably disagree, but isn't it strange that now that the election is over, the president and his allies haven't said boo about it. In any case, Twitter and Facebook are locking those stories out because they spread debunked misinformation.

3) The far right is so concerned about Hunter Biden trading on his dad's name (and there does seem to be some truth to this, although to my knowledge it's not illegal) but have nothing at all to say about the president filling key jobs with his children and the family of his political allies. Pardon me if I don't really buy into all the pearl-clutching.
