  I guess we are agreeing then, basically. It's mostly about public opinion at this point. They timed it that way for a reason. If they had released all this a year ago, nothing would have come of it and no one would be talking about it any more. By releasing it now, they might sway some undecided voters over to Trump. That's all they ever hoped to accomplish, IMO.

The Senate has far less jurisdiction (power/scope) over criminal investigatory matters concerning private citizens. Their scope would mostly be limited to anything when Biden is in office, which itself would be limited by executive privilege, making them doubly useless. It would be the same as Russiagate et al then where it would take organizations like Judicial Watch to be an actual investigatory body and file lawsuit after lawsuit (e.g. FOIA suits) over the years (they're primarily responsible for getting info out on Russiagate), which shows you how useless the federal government is becoming. So the idea that people go to the Senate re:old investigations is nothing more than mental gymnastics and possibly an attempt to kill any actual investigatory effort.

So apparently there was a number of stuff that came out today with more emails from the NY Post and now a story from the Gateway Pundit with pictures of Hunter Biden smoking crack and sex acts. 

 

 

Oh btw NY Post is still locked out on Twitter and now the Gateway Pundit is on a 12 hour suspension

The entire reason the swamp is draining so slowly? GOP is full of the swamp rats too. It's slowly eroding though. 

 

What Trump's been doing with his America First policy (and probably a big reason why he left the private sector) to put a stop to:

- China finds US politicians and heads of institutions to influence

- Acquire companies / get partnerships

- Force transfer of technology/IP to China

- CCP wins

 

This is why free trade was never the default in modern civilization, thus, protectionism. Other nations don't play by the same rules, it's not a level playing field. A government is a fiduciary to its own citizens, not foreigners, global/multinational corporations, etc.

Notice the left save their biggest amounts of vitriol toward those that tend to know them, and often agree with them, but oppose their radicalized idiocy. Someone they can't control is just as bad as someone they oppose. Because I spent my life around this demographic, I know them too well, and thus know the dangers of giving them encouragement by backing down.

The incredible decision by Twitter and Facebook to block access to a New York Post story about a cache of emails reportedly belonging to Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s son Hunter, with Twitter going so far as to lock the 200 year-old newspaper out of its own account for over a week, continues to be a major underreported scandal.

The hypocrisy is mind-boggling. Imagine the reaction if that same set of facts involved the New York Times and any of its multitudinous unverifiable “exposes” from the last half-decade: from the similarly-leaked “black ledger” story implicating Paul Manafort, to its later-debunked “repeated contacts with Russian intelligence” story, to its mountain of articles about the far more dubious Steele dossier. Internet platforms for years have balked at intervening at many other sensational “unverified” stories, including ones called into question in very short order:

I think this is what concerns me most, I come from a position of not liking either choice and being disappointed that there is no good choice.

 

A free press is essential to the proper operation of a Democracy or Republic. And I accept that certain media outlets will scew one way or another, sometime significantly.

 

But with the likes of twitter and facebook it is more akin to the printers having control, the people who produce the wood pulp, something needs to be done.

 

I would much prefer they got their own act together, but when it gets to this level not sure we have options.
