So I hope I did everything right.  I triple checked my forms and did two fees totaling $680.  I sent it via fedex overnight to the location listed on the website in Arizona.  My wife and I live in Michigan.  She is Canadian.

The package arrived October 21 at 10 am.  Still nothing. No texts or emails from USCIS.   I keep checking my bank account to see if the checks cashed.  I know it’s only been two days but I’m paranoid if this gets rejected and I won’t have enough time to cure it before her green card expires.  That would technically mean she’s late if we had to resubmit after the deadline and assume that would cause a whole new world of problems.  I should have filed this for earlier.

Anyone have any insight on how long it takes to receive a text or see the checks cashed?

In the best of times, it took a week to receive the extension letter........now, it's taking longer.

Lol, 21st.. Give it 30 days.

You have 90 days to file the i-751. No reason yo wait until last minute if you're worried about a potential rejection.

It can take up to two weeks for the lockbox to process your i751 application, keep an eye out to see USCIS cashed your check. Our application in May took 6 weeks for us to get our notice of action with our extension in the mail. We did get text update right away when the application was accepted nearly week after it arrived.

Most likely you are good.

If you don't hear in two weeks call USCIS with your A number to see if they received your application  or sent it back.

If you have to file late you just need a reason why you filed late I guess an error with your original filing will be a good excuse.

Just an update! They finally cashed both my checks today (one for $595 and the other for $85.00 biometrics).

Is it safe to assume that my forms were accepted?  Wouldn’t they otherwise be sent back without cashing the checks?  Thanks for your help!

But they wouldn’t accept it if there www an error with the forms/mistake.  I assume processing means someone actually going through the whole packer such as the the evidence and if something is missing is insufficient they would send an RFE.

My only concern was meeting the expiration deadline. Them asking the checks means they acknowledged I filed on time.

If they have cashed the checks, then the package was not rejected.......now the wait begins.  We filed my wife's package in March 2019.......still waiting for an interview.

That’s understandable.  I heard the process can take over a year and that was pre-covid times.  I’m sure you got your one year extension letter?

I hope you get to the finish line shortly! I would assume they would have to automatically extend your wife if more time is needed since that is not your wife’s problem that they are taking so long.
