Returning after 10 year bar?

Hi I grew up in the US on an expired 6 month visa. My family never took care of my paper work.  I was deported in the early 2000s. My 10 year bar is over. Can I return to the USA? My 10 year bar has ended over 5 years ago. I am now a Canadian citizen as of last year.

Will I have a hard time because my visa expired as a kid and I was deported?

Thank you.

Hi,

Have you completed the ESTA application?

Have you applied for a visitor visa?

With a deportation, you will need either an approved ESTA or visitor visa to visit the US.

I didn't apply for anything and my ban has been over 5 years ago. Was just told that if I go by land crossing I need to make the agent at the boarder comply with returning back home or so? It's just to visit. And was planning to invest money into a business I am currently running here in Canada but 99% of my customers are in the USA.

For not a test run, but would like to move there and get a warehouse for my business to expand even more. I do have 1 person working for me but I need to hire way more. I can't do much with one person. Been doing it for years. I finally saved up enough money to get a big warehouse and want to hire a crew to work for me.

Since you were deported you need a visa or esta.  It does not matter that you have a nice new Canadian Passport and Citizenship.

You can not work in the US with a B1/B2 visa or ESTA.   You can "own" a business, but you can not work in the US.  You should be looking at an investor visa or appropriate visa for you desires.

Canadian Citizens are not eligible for ESTA

Unclear if what the OP intents doing falls with a B classification. Consultation seems in order.

You've been deported, so you're in the system.  You will need a visa or ESTA to enter the US.  It's not going to be simple for you to cross into the US like other Canadians with clean records.

To live here or to work here, you would need an appropriate employment visa.

It would be best if you consult with a qualified immigration lawyer.
