Hi all, I have good news for KC filers. They are moving very fast in that there is *no line whatsoever* at the actual field office. On December 13th, I found out that i had been issued a bio reuse, which had been issued on the 10th (I never got the auto text or email so I randomly found out after I read the reddit thread on bios). And in the wee hours of December 14th, I had been issued an interview notice, so I saw bio reuse document on Sun night and the next morning I woke up to an interview. My interview is for Jan 13th, Wed.

So, my guess is that yours will move as soon as they issue a bio reuse as long as that mutation doesn't reach the US and cause a repeat of spring 2020.

Few of questions for you:

  1. when did you file?
  2. Did you file under the 3year rule? if So did they also reuse your BIOs when you removed conditions? I am asking because they reused my BIOs when I filed "removal of conditions" ,  I am wondering if they will do it for N-400 too.
  3. What was your estimated waiting time?

  3. What was your estimated waiting time?

I am glad I can answer all these questions.

1. I am a March applicant specifically March 22nd 2020.

2. No I am employment based. Therefore, my bios are 5+ years old. However, 2-3 weeks ago, on a reddit thread which was linked off of this site actually-forget which thread-I read that USCIS had decided to clear the logjam at ACS by widening the pool of eligible applicants for re-use. They did away with the 18 month rule but I am not sure what other metrics they deployed-one guess is that people who are applying at the same ASC/field office may be more likely to be on that list, as is the case with me.

3. Obviously, when I first filed, we were under lockdown. But I was given an auto estimate of July 2020, which shifted to august, Sept, October , to then disappear for good. the timeline never reappeared on my dashboard. Regardless, after waiting for 9 months for biometrics, I called and emailed them and was given a Feb 2021 estimate. if you check their timeline online, you will find that it jumped from 5-8 months ish to first 6 to 10, and now 11 to 18 months. this is due to the ASC not having contracted officials to perform bios. they are prioritizing bios for other categories of migrants, who'd fall out of status and we were last on the totem pole-and hence the decision came down that they should ease restrictions on reuse. Ostensibly, a USCIS tier 2 agent wrote all this on reddit-I highly doubt a tier 2 would be frequenting reddit but it did prove accurate.

This same agent who gave me the Feb deadline told me that KC is trying to do oaths on the same day. we shall see.

Gotcha, I thought I'd started this thread for N400 filers in KCMO but you are welcome to contribute.

Most of us do not get an interview for the greencard, unless things changed. In my case, the greencard had just arrived in the mail.

I had my interview at the KCMO office on 1/13. Interview went well but a decision could not be made on the spot. The Officer said I should expect a response in a couple of weeks. Any one had the same experience

that is standard answer to me. you should be good. can you share your timeline?

1.when you did apply ?

2.when was your bio ?

3.what is you app based on(3 year rule or 5 year)?

4. how was the interview? What did they ask you?
