Rudy Giuliani faces questions after compromising scene in new Borat film

I don't see anything he did wrong in that clip. He just let the lady do whatever she wanted, played along. It was her that was repeatedly touching him in a way that's easily inferred as sexual, then invited him to the room. With the nosedive into sheer stupidity politics has gone in recent years, it shouldn't be a surprise that people try and paint the guy in a different light. Yet, if the roles were reversed and a male interviewer had been putting his hands in that way on a female politician then inviting her into a bedroom, we know what would've happened in the media.

If anything what this reminds me of is all the couple of women in my graduating class in NorCal who went down to SoCal and slept their way into the entertainment industry, then a couple years ago made these hilarious social media posts saying that a guy accepting their offer and letting them sleep with him as an advantage to getting a job was tantamount to rape and was doing all this #MeToo hashtagging and victim mongering. The staging of this scene in contrast to its intended purpose mirrors the staging of Beto burgers, Elizabeth "Pale ale" Warren, Nancy "Paper Shredder" Pelosi, and so on. So many frauds its ridiculous. And so long as people choose to be frauds and cater to it, the only real world result is you have is a woman in a staged interview affirming the idea that her value is for cheap sex, affirming any behavior where it's expected a woman sleep her way into an industry. There's no lesson to be learned here the left intend to teach, just the accidental inductive ones people derive conclusions from by the stupid acts repeatedly being done, people realizing we're not in the 1800s where women have no choices or freedoms in life and therefore have little to no responsibility for her actions.

Then you might want to start following reason. It seems pretty much all your buddies in this thread disagree with your hysterical "rapist" caricatures. Your posts are definitely helpful for affirming one's position.

Echoing that there was no indication that Tutar was presenting herself as any younger than what the actress portraying her actually is, i.e. a woman in her mid-20s.

I watched with my family on Friday night, and all four of the women present were disgusted by Giuliani. He acts like a powerful man who expects a woman to be flattered by his gross behavior. I have been in situations where a man just assumed I appreciated his nasty attentions. Giuliani was foul, and him shoving his hand down his pants was the least unnerving thing about that scene. Many women are familiar with the situation where some man goes way, way further than a bit of light banter. It was an unsettling and familiar experience to watch, even if the specific situation was nowhere similar.

I watched the movie. Nothing to do with it basically  being anti Trump commercial, its just not my kind of humor. I thought the dancing with blood on her panties( BTW it was  my hometown and filming was stopped when they realized what was going on )  was disgusting . The whole kid in a woman cage turned me off. My best work buddy thought it was very funny. Once again just not for me. I would not have like it had it bin anti Biden.

As for the Giuliani thing. Really no defense for what he did . Very poor judgement.  Regardless of if he was reaching to remove his microphone or not, it was pretty clear where he thought it was heading. His body language and patronizing the young girl was evident. If you are a very powerful member of the administration going to have drinks with a young girl in her hotel room is beyond bad judgement.

However using that incident to say one administration is more full of perverts than the other is grasping at straws.

They're just Russian to judgment.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Also, does he seriously believe he's so irresistible to beautiful women in their 20s that they're ready to be intimate with him within an hour of meeting him? He's a perv for sure, but also, for someone at his position of power, he should know better than assuming that beautiful women just happen to throw themselves at him. Doesn't he find that at least a little bit suspicious? That maybe it's a setup of some sort?

So on top of being a perv, he's also shown himself to not be very bright.

I mean, that's kind of the point. It's shocking and disgusting and it exaggerates stereotypes. That's why it's funny.

But it's fine if someone doesn't like that type of humor.

They're translating things wrong as well, and it's all on purpose. It's obviously a very offensive film and it plays on stereotyping ignorance. It's not like Kazakhstan is anything like the gypsy Romanian village where Borat is shown to be from. And Borat is speaking in Hebrew, which is obviously not the language they speak in Kazakhstan at all. His daughter is speaking in Bulgarian and the Kazakh president is speaking in Romanian. Absolutely nothing makes sense, that's why it's hilarious.

When my husband showed me the first movie, he was very hesitant as he wasn't sure if I'd find it offensive and crude but I laughed so hard I almost cried. The second one was pretty good, too. "Who is America?" is my favorite though, nothing like getting actual Congressmen to endorse 4-year-olds carrying guns.

I don't think this is anything about him believing he's actually attractive to a woman. It's a dude that knows he has power and believes he can make 'transactions' because of it which would somehow make up for his shortfallings.

That's sort of the thing about Borat. In the first film Cohen speaks a lot of Hebrew and his sidekick is speaking Armenian. So they are carrying on an "argument" or convos in each of their languages but the translations we see actually don't reflect what they are saying and that means if you do understand the language there are more running jokes and puns. The ethnic languages and alphabets used are also mostly gibberish. Stuff typed out on documents is also gibberish. It has the right 'look' to an untrained and ignorant eye but is not true. And that's really the same thing with the languages spoken. Cohen is getting people to say offensive things about Jews, but they are clueless as to what language is being spoken in front of them. In Borat 2, he continues using Hebrew, while Tutar is using Bulgarian.

Borat isn't going to have the humor for everyone... but it's supposed to be a turn off at times. When you think about it, who in their right mind would sell a man a cage and other items once told it was for his daughter to live in? Who would nail a woman back in a box? All of these things are tests of a persons morality. There is always a part with the drunk white kids at the end of Borat that is a little stomach-turning thinking about what these young men are, how they were raised, and how they got to be like this. It's supposed to shock and disturb. We should find all of these behaviors upsetting. Borat 2 wasn't as funny as the first film, but man I was cracking up at the fax machine bits.

While it's true that Borat has exposed a lot of misogyny, I find it impossible to believe that the guy who sold him the cage wasn't in on the joke. It's not like he can't see the cameras and I think he was trying not to laugh at times.
