In the film, released on Friday, the former New York mayor and current personal attorney to Donald Trump is seen reaching into his trousers and apparently touching his genitals while reclining on a bed in the presence of the actor playing Borat’s daughter, who is posing as a TV journalist.

Following an obsequious interview for a fake conservative news programme, the pair retreat at her suggestion for a drink to the bedroom of a hotel suite, which is rigged with concealed cameras.

After she removes his microphone, Giuliani, 76, can be seen lying back on the bed, fiddling with his untucked shirt and reaching into his trousers. They are then interrupted by Borat who runs in and says: “She’s 15. She’s too old for you.”

Representatives for Giuliani have not replied to the Guardian’s requests for comment.

Ok , I don't want to judge your family traditions, but we have very few that involve Guilani touching his junk.

Well, the whole wedding is going to be a bit bizarre, so why not include Rudy? :P

His efforts to unearth political dirt on Trump’s rival for the White House mean that the film’s mortifying footage can be seen as an attempt to undermine Giuliani’s credibility.

First off..

What's with the gross fetishizing of old men in politics? Toobin and now this?

More importantly.. if the idea was that the timed release of this prank was going to affect the Hunter/Joe scandal, they were dead wrong. The information provided by Giuliani and others doesn't rely on how one feels (or largely already felt) about Giuliani's character. That's the beauty of engaging issues on its merit/facts rather than based on persona.

Ummm, the movie has been in the works for a year so... I'm kind of thinking this has nothing to do with what's going on right now with Hunter Biden. Giuliani has been on pretty much everybody's radar as a loose cannon for years.

See quote. I guess we can add this one too:

And note in my post about the timing of the release, and not the development of it. Can play games as we like, it's very easy to put two and two together here.

Okay, I see you are unfamiliar with Sacha Baron Cohen's politics, that's fine. He is very vocal about not liking Trump so, um, of course it's coming out right before the election? I didn't even think that there was a question about that. It's political entertainment by someone who is vocal about being anti-Trump. Amazon is putting it up because it means $$$$$$ for Amazon -- the first Borat film made a ton of money ($262m) on a relatively low budget ($18m). If audiences like Borat, content platforms are going to want to put it out there. If there were anti-Biden films that would draw as many eyeballs, they'd be up there too.

I glossed over the bit about timed release you wrote because I just thought it was a given it would be pre-election -- your reference to Hunter Biden was what left me going: huh?

Because they're directly and indirectly referencing Hunter Biden, particularly at the Giuliani drop yesterday'ish about Hunter's acts with underage girls. I thought that was obvious.

I know about the other stuff Cohen does, and his politics, and those have nothing whatsoever to do with what was being said. I simply am stating what's an obvious (and failing) attempt to try and distract from the Hunter Biden stories. I don't care about the film coming out.

I wasn't talking about the Guardian article per se when I posted the link, just to clarify -- it was to point out that hey, the Borat movie's coming out and it's got this wild Giuliani scene in it. I chose the Guardian article because it was the one a friend shared with me earlier.

I care about the film coming out and that's why I posted it. :D I think you're just not understanding me, and that's okay.

Where are those naughty pictures of  Hunter with underaged girls?  Are they apart of the cache  that have been floating around the Ukraine for a year?
