Hello!

Should I submit my original birth certificate or just a copy of it?

Thanks!

You never submit an original unless it is SPECIFICALLY requested

YMMV

Are you the USC petitioner or the beneficiary?

If you are the petitioner, then are you talking about the birth certificate that the hospital gave your parents?  If so, bear in mind that is not an official birth certificate.

At what stage of the K1 visa process are you in?  For what reason do you need to submit the birth certificate?

I went to my local registrar and they gave me a "certified transcript of birth"

Ah, yep, that is the correct one.))

I'm about to send in the I-129F.

Reading online I see that people have been given RFEs for sending in their short form birth certificates instead of their long form versions. I'm nervous mine is a short-form birth certificate.

You can send a copy of the bio page of your passport as proof of US Citizenship.

I can send both the copy of the birth certificate and passport just to be sure, correct?

You only need to send one.  Both is not required.

Edit:. If you send a copy of your passport, make sure it is still valid (unexpired)

Does yours include parental information?

You don't get extra credit for proving something twice

YMMV
