Biden campaign faces backlash for TV ad depicting Michigan tech CEO as struggling bar owner The Blind Pig co-owner blamed President Trump

Biden supporter appears in ad for Biden. Oh the humanity!

I watched the whole ad yesterday. What came across to me wasn't that the guy could stand to lose his investment, but what the community would lose if the venue had to shut down for good. The loss of culture is difficult to quantify and is often greater than a monetary value.

What the ad doesn’t disclose is it was Governor Whitmer who shut down his business.  Not really sure what this has to do with President Trump?

depicting a Michigan bar owner struggling to keep his business afloat during the pandemic.

What the ad fails to mention is the man is actually a wealthy tech investor who made contributions to the former vice president’s campaign

tl;dr guy is a fraud (along with his campaign and the DNC with perennial frauds like Pocahontas and Robert Francis) and people in key states won't need to distort the information presented, he'll get the Hillary treatment

I stand by what I said: Biden supporter supports Biden. The ad to me was about how the community was going to lose something valuable because of what this Biden supporter believes to be poor leadership at the national level in controlling the virus. You disagree and say it's all Whitmer's fault. Hey, that's politics!  We can disagree.

And again, if you watch the ad -- which I did yesterday, before this was posted here or before I saw any reporting on it, just had it sent to me by my fiancé without context beyond "the beasties approved use of one of their songs in this advert" because he loves the Beastie Boys -- you may come to a different conclusion about what this ad is about. For me it was about the loss of live venues, not about this guy's investment. It's something I think about a lot in my own community -- the LA area runs on live entertainment as well as recorded media, and we're in danger of losing some famous venues for good. We drove past the Troubador last weekend and commented on how it might disappear. That's a loss to the world, frankly. The bit about him losing money didn't register with me. But you come to a different conclusion about the ad -- that it's some rich guy who somehow (???) is hiding his support for Biden (while appearing in a Biden ad, okay) who's whingeing about going broke, when he's super-rich. Okay, different opinions about what's going on -- again, that's politics!

No clue what the guy at the town hall has to do with this guy in the ad, but whatever.  :P

They, Biden supporters can believe what they want, but the fact is it was not President Trump that shut down the nightclub businesses in Michigan.  Trust me, I actually live here, it was Governor Whitmer that in her dictatorial style did this, and the fact that he, the Biden supporter was in favor of this, makes me wonder if he actually cares about facts.  The President, any President, does not have the power to do much of anything during a pandemic in our Republic, and though I understand the Biden strategy is to blame the Vid response on President Trump, facts seem to flush that argument.
