Hello everyone.

May be someone faced with the same challenge.

Our petition was approved back in Feb 2020. Then we got email (2020, March 3) from the NVC saying that they are about to send it to the US Embassy in Moscow.

Cheching the status on the website https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

2020, March 4 - In Transit

2020, March 5 - READY

2020, March 13  - Refused

I haven't had my interview yet, but it is said in my status that I was informed by the consular officer that my case  was refused for administrative processing.

It seems like as a technical issue (I hope so) and I called to the Embassy to found that out and they I was told it is most likely the technical issues but they sounded not to be 100% sure :)

I saw people here from Russia having their status READY since July 2020 and its never changed since then, but at least its READY, not Refused )))

Does anybody here from Russia have the same situation?

Will be appreciate the answers :)

Bump.

Very unusual.  I assume your fiance never had the interview?

If you are the USC petitioner, email the embassy.  Ask if the petition is still ok and that you just need to wait for the embassy to start processing K1's.  Also ask if they have extended the expiration date of your petition (a K1 petition expires 4 month after approval, by default).

Yep, we did called Embassy and they said they can’t do anything until Embassy will get back to the normal visa routine. One time they told us that this status “refused” pretty much common and embassy set it until gets back to normal daily routine. Another time - that is a technical issue and when embassy be opened up again they will change it to “Ready” 🤷🏼‍♀️
Emailed them as well and got their Pretty much the same respond a few time:

We are aware there are many K1 petitions still pending interview.  Once normal operations resume, we will reach out to all those pending K1 interviews, affirm their desire to extend the petition, and schedule interviews.  There is no action K1 petitioners or beneficiaries need to take at this time.

so every time different answer that’s why worry a little bit.

thank you anyways ☺️
