Recently divorced: Do you have to wait to marry in Morocco?

Hi everyone,

We are definitely favoring CR1 at this point and thanks for your advice in this matter!  Now the question is: when can we marry in Morocco?  My divorce became final in September 2020.  Is there a wait time in Morocco before my fiance and I can get married there?  (By the way, do we post questions in portals for specific countries (like Morocco) do they automatically get posted in that portal if you are following that country?)

Thanks in advance!

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

The only wait time for the divorce to marry in Morocco would be the time you wait to get it signed by judge,  put into the county court records (and stamped with the date) and get a true (original ) / BTW ask for 2 as you need one for your own records / Morocco keeps the originals of all you submit for the marriage including your birth,  divorce, (any death certificates like i had to do),  etc.   and all of those you need in the future.

When a Muslim female got divorce then she's planning to marry , she should wait 3 months that's what the religion said .

So the country as you know it's Islamic so they are going to check exactly how long have you been divorce.

You can go thru all papers but you wouldn't signed your marriage until3 months done.

Reason : ( you may had a last night with your x spouse so you may be pregnant from him , that's why this rule came to clear and clean all doubts )
