Hi everyone,

 

I understand with the current situation of the world there is no way to know for sure, but does anyone know a rough estimate how long it will take until I can finally go to the US to be with my fiancé? We are sending off the I-129f this week so roughly how long will everything take to process? I am from UK so I will be going to the US embassy in London. Thank you :)

It's really hard to say with any accuracy right now. Even in normal times, I-129F processing can go up and down a lot in a fairly short time period (they went from 3-4 months to 6-8 months over filers from the first half of 2017, stayed there until mid-2108 filers, were back down to 3-4 months by filers from the end of 2018, and processing times had been slowly increasing again in late 2019/early 2020 before covid delays started affecting things).

 

And no one knows when London will resume processing K-1s, or how long it will take to clear the backlog of cases from mid-March 2020 and beyond when it does.
