Hi,

I have applied for US citizenship in Sept 2020 based on 3 year rule , and I have a question:-

We are married and living together,  but during 2018/2019, because of some complications, I moved to an apartment and lived there for one year. But we overcame the challenges we were facing in our relationship and moved back to the house after my lease ended.  During that one year, we both would end up staying at the apartment or in the house. But I couldn’t end the lease because I would have to pay the fine.

That being said, will this affect my citizenship applications? We have submitted all the required supporting documents that require for a bona fide relationship.

your residency requirement is based on your residence in US and being married for 3 years. Should not have any issues and if they ask the reason tell them the truth. Your case is nothing but normal. Life happens
