That is interesting I will give that a shot, thank you for sharing that I appreciate it!!

You're welcome! I'm glad I was able to share a piece of my advise :) I hope that it will work for you, too :)

I think my "odd" experience might be worth sharing for you. California filer here as well and it's been 1 year and 2 months since we submitted our i-485. I read somewhere in a Facebook Group page that they tried calling AND submitting an e-request for Outside Normal Processing Time. I did both first week of October and 2 weeks after... I got an interview notice on the mail! My husband and I are really doubtful if it's pure coincidence... so you might want to give it a shot... :)

Thank you for that. I've done two e-Requests and both have come back as canned responses. I might try calling when we get to  14 months (or perhaps that's just the new normal as we're very close to that timeframe). I'm glad you got your interview. Please let me know what to expect in Sacramento if you would!

Take care!

Yes good to know others are in same situation, we try to keep tabs on the website to make sure nothing has changed. Crazy how long this takes, my wife just reapplied for the work athorization  and advance parole since it expires here in January 2021.

Hey there, I was wondering how you were able to reapply for advance parol as someone told me that only the work authorization can be extended?

You may have misinterpreted the advice you were given in another thread.  You may apply to renew AP as many times as you need while your AOS is pending.  However, unlike the EAD receipt notice, the AP receipt notice does not serve as an extension letter.  You need the actual AP or combo card to be able to use AP to re-enter the US.

I'm glad I am not alone as I was beginning to get worried! 😣 We officially passed the 1 year mark of waiting ever since the website updated to "case ready to be interviewed", and our field office is in San Fransico too. I'm also filing from Oct 2019 so it seems we're in the same batch, I hope they get to processing ours soon. We recently moved and I did update my address but I'm so anxious after reading that people didn't receive their interview letter at their new place despite updating their address.

I really don't know what to do except to wait more.

I am in the same boat as both of you. Our AOS was filed on 10-23-19 and biometrics taken 11-25-19 Our file shows "ready for interview to be scheduled" since 1-6-20"

Hey Chancy, thank you for the information.
I am now searching up how to renew AP, and then extend EAD but I'm seeing some worrying issues. It says the AP can only be renewed if it is filed 120 days before the expiry date. Mine is expiring on the 26/12 which is in 52 days. Wha can I do in this case?

120 days before expiry is the earliest time you may file for renewal.  You may renew your AP anytime after that.  So go ahead and file your I-131.  Remember to include a copy of your I-485 receipt notice to waive the filing fee.

Thank you so much Chancy 😣. I went to re-read and I now understand what they mean by "no more than 120 before" from your comment! I feel so much better now.

Honestly  seeing all those posts makes me realize how lucky I am with all this process. I got RFE, waited nearly two months to send reply to them and stuck in the middle of pandemics and yet I got my interview within 11 months. I guess the only thing you can do is wait.

called Uscis today on the phone to get a status they said they are barely processing April 2018 applicants in California for green card interviews. Any advice on how to get this expediated? They told me it can take up to 36 months to process these, Im shocked but not shocked. Any ideas?

From a K1? I can´t believe California takes such a long time in procesing, I entry the country with a K1  on Feb. 2019, the process time was 8 months, form application sent to gc in hand. Is there any particular situation in your case or that´s the time process in California? Hope you get good news soon.  Good luck

the advance parole says it expires 1/5/2021, Im really not very trusting that if they travel to Colombia they would be able to get back in since it says thats not guranteed

Even if you have a GC your entry is not guaranteed at all, but shouldn’t be an issue if you have no problems with the law, etc. many people travel with the Combo card without any issues, be positive and patient, the only thing that can be seen as an advantage is that if your interview is taking place after being married for more than 2 years you'll get the non-conditional GC.
