My wife used her AP/EAD card 3 times in a 4 month period returning via Air, Land, And Sea, and had no issues. She never had a secondary inspection or anything.

thats good to know, im kinda of afraid to let her travel to go back home since in the Ap letter says no guarantee that they will let her back in.

As others have said, it's what it is meant for. The chances are very slim she would not be allowed in. My wife couldn't wait for a chance to go home to see her family. she flew Air and came thru Seattle, we did a land entry into Mexico and back, then we did a cruise out of Long Beach to Mexico and back all within 4 months. The funny thing is during out AOS interview the IO saw all the trips we had taken ( They can see her entries of course on the computer) and he even commented that we took a cruise together and didn't kill each-other stuck on a boat for 5 days that we must be a legitimate couple. LOL.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

That is funny, worked in your favor. Do you know if we have to pay another fee if we renew the advance parole since its only good for a year? it expires in January of 2021

Everything I have states is true, we are still waiting for the interview to get the green card. I have no need to be making any of my information up, really trying to get good information not bad negative vibes....

I have no doubt what you’ve stated is true but you should still update your time line.

I am telling you that if USCIS told you that your field office (which will be San Francisco) is “barely processing April 2018” AOS filings, then you were lied to.  And the evidence is:

I understand your frustration; my application went to a field office, back to the national processing center for expedition who issued an RFE, back to the same field office and technically my 18 month letter of exemption ran out on the day of the interview!

That said, the officer thanked us for the documents we had sent and indicated that we had sufficient documents; she pointed at a rather large box telling us that our amount of documents was not considered "a lot" by any means but had the right information to prove our bona fide relationship.

I would note that USCIS tend to word things such that they indicate the maximum time they might take to process something BUT also expect you (the petitioner/sponsor etc) to jump really quickly and the exact height if they ask for something.

Good luck and I wish you well!

Get an USCIS tier 2 officer on the phone and ask for a case inquiry.

If that doesn’t work, the DHS ombudsman.

I'm glad I am not alone as I was beginning to get worried! 😣 We officially passed the 1 year mark of waiting ever since the website updated to "case ready to be interviewed", and our field office is in San Fransico too. I'm also filing from Oct 2019 so it seems we're in the same batch, I hope they get to processing ours soon. We recently moved and I did update my address but I'm so anxious after reading that people didn't receive their interview letter at their new place despite updating their address.

I really don't know what to do except to wait more.

Yes good to know others are in same situation, we try to keep tabs on the website to make sure nothing has changed. Crazy how long this takes, my wife just reapplied for the work athorization  and advance parole since it expires here in January 2021.

The link below is a good resource to see how each office is processing cases (copy and pasted into your browser). It gives you a general idea on how many they process per quarter. That said, they haven't posted the 3rd quarter yet and their quarters aren't calendar quarters so it should have been updated months ago. I'm thinking the person who updates these got let go or furloughed! :(

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/data/I485_performancedata_fy2020_qtr2.pdf

If you change the "qtr2" to "qtr1" you can see how many they did in the previous quarter. In addition, you can change the year and select all 4 quarters to see each one. If you save this link and keep looking for a qtr3 update we might be able to see the impact that the covid shutdowns had on USCIS.

Hope this helps ya!

I think my "odd" experience might be worth sharing for you. California filer here as well and it's been 1 year and 2 months since we submitted our i-485. I read somewhere in a Facebook Group page that they tried calling AND submitting an e-request for Outside Normal Processing Time. I did both first week of October and 2 weeks after... I got an interview notice on the mail! My husband and I are really doubtful if it's pure coincidence... so you might want to give it a shot... :)
