Is getting interview waiting time different for k1 vs CR1? I got an interview fairly quickly with Abu Dhabi for k1 visa interview and my fiancée is not UAE resident.

Nevertheless, I'm noticing that the interviews are starting to progress faster than 2021 but apparently Abu Dhabi embassy's backlog and queue is a long one that I'm starting to realize that a 24 months ID is becoming the norm for immigrant visas. I've also filed for expedite request since December,2021 with no response so far.

 

I hope it progresses much faster for everyone here & please keep updating us on DQ times, ILs & IDs for different visa categories whenever possible.

Strange I thought they have already started with sep or oct EB cases, on a telegram group people were saying that they are receiving their IL letters. You mind me asking what is ur nationality? Are you a resident in the uae? And what sector is your job?

I have f4 DQ case since Nov 2020 UAE resident no movement at all if someone can share their thoughts in this regards.........

And you waited over a year? That sucks! What's your nationality if you don't mind?

It looks like the wait time should be about 6 months (also what our lawyer said) so not sure what happened with your case

Ah okay, that makes more sense   I'm also DQ in Jan 22, so hopefully we both get a letter soon. 

Nationality shouldn't matter, but it kinda sounds like it might in some cases. All of this is very opaque, so it's hard to say. There's a telegram group for family based visas at abu dhabi embassy, think I posted it here a couple posts ago if you want to join!

I am DQ Nov 2020 but still waiting for IL can is there anyone having the same DQ date..???

I am DQ Oct 2020 EB3 and still waiting for IL.  I am UAE resident Abu Dhabi based and Philippine national.  It seems that getting an IL is not depends on being DQ.  There are others that receiving interview date having DQ only last 2021 and yet they having interviewed.  I did not also attempt to request for an expedite because fees were only paid on normal processing and the immigration lawyer also mentioned that they can't do anything because it is already in the NVC.  The only thing to do is to wait for the IL. I also choose AUH embassy as my interview place as I thought that getting interview is faster because of less IV applicants that in my home country but it seems that a lot of different nationalities even not a UAE residents has been waiting to have an IL.  Well, its nobody's control.  I just lift up everything in God's/Allah's hands what will be my future and for my child.

What is this telegram group? Could we join it? My wife has been DQ since Mar 2021 and we are still awaiting interview.

My wife's DQ is Sep 2020 and still waiting for IL.
