For the special attention of applicants who may wish to immigrate to the USA from Iran, China, Schengen Area, UK, Ireland, Brazil, and South Africa: please note this new update: “Update to Presidential Proclamations 9984, 9992, and 10143
Effective April 8, 2021, COVID-19-related Presidential Proclamations 9984, 9992, and 10143, which restrict the entry into the United States of individuals physically present in the People’s Republic of China, Islamic Republic of Iran, Schengen Area, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Brazil, and South Africa, are no longer in effect for immigrants and fiancé(e) visa holders. The Immigrant Visa Unit in Abu Dhabi will now grant immigrant and fiancé(e) visas to applicants otherwise eligible, notwithstanding these proclamations.”

For our applicants from Iran especially, please be aware that if you are an Immigrant Visa holder, you no longer are subject to having to be outside of Iran for 14 days before being able to enter the USA. I would really appreciate if any employment based immigrant visa applicants waiting for interview in Abu Dhabi would share their DQ date. I am trying to have an idea of how long we may wait in order to estimate

our processing time.

Hi there,

I am EB Dqed on Dec 2020, received standard email twice that case is awaiting interview appointment. Are you a TCN or UAE national?

I think that matters as i heard somewhere in these forums that priority is given to local citizens.
