Is anyone aware of the CFO cut off time for registration? Apparently the whole site has been updated. They say it's open for registration M-Thursday however there is a cut off time.

In addition, can my wife depart the country with just the online certificate or does she need to wait on the courier package??

Gaah Philippines makes everything so difficult.

Yes, there is a cut-off time, though I can't remember if it's 5 or 6 or 7pm PH time. Best if your wife tries to register first thing in the morning, 7 or 8am as slots are limited for the day. Once she registers, it'll take a couple of days for the process to be done and she can get her online certificate right way.

I'm not sure about the online certificate vs the couriered one, as I've read that people have been able to leave with the online certificate but for temporary trips only. Your wife or you can inquire with Bureau of Immigration or CFO during your wife's counseling session.

Yes we discovered have to register first thing in the morning as limited spaces. She has her telecounseling in a couple of days, CFO said she can depart the country with just the online certificate. Sent the appointment and payment like immediately after I registered.

It's not even a counseling session, more like they just ask your spouse along the same line as embassy and then ask for documents not on their requirements list - waiting on a police background check to send to them, what a waste of time

Oh and I think they only do the screening on Thursdays

My fiance was able to leave in September by showing an emailed certificate. I think the hardcopy has still not arrived yet.

My wife will hopefully be able to do the same once this police background check arrives

Can a spouse sign up their wife/husband? Or only the person immigrating?

I did everything through my wife's email address. Since it's all done by email anyone can do it. Of course write it as if it is coming from your wife.

Can I use my email address? Or not? She has forgotten her password & secret questions to get into account

How is this paid? Credit Card? Check? Money Order?

Thanks again

If it were me, I would just create a new gmail account for her and do it from there. When you register (for her) they will give payment instructions. I honestly forgot where she had to go to pay it could have been 7-11, but there are several options. You can pay by credit card supposedly. I tried and it didn't work.

We paid at a Bayad center.  There may have been an option to pay online at the time, but that kept defaulting.  We checked with 7-11 on their payment kiosk but at that time we didnt see payment could be done for the CFO.

If there is a Bayad Center close by, they are familiar with CFO payments and probably the safest way to pay.  I just dont trust any transactions online.  Seemed to always have headaches.  One reason why I always used COD payment method when ordering something because that way I could check the product and actually make sure I received it before giving my money away.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

I heard of someone getting a "cell phone" from Lazada, and after they opened it there was no cell phone inside. I tell people video tape them opening the box in front of the delivery person.

That actually happens quite often and one reason I only use COD for Lazada.  Also Lazada can take much longer than the stated delivery times and if your "out of town" when they eventually deliver, it can take ages to get your money back.  This applies to Shopee and other similar sites.
