06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The Democrat mantra.

“Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.”

This is were all credibility is lost. Where is persecution, torture, revolution, or dictatorship part of the democratic party?

Wherever it is perceived, but if you actually read the quote the point was about power, the other objects are just similar demonstrations like power.

That's in the second half of the first year of the Biden administration, duh. I mean, I got my hot tip this morning to invest in steel for the upcoming mass production of guillotines, didn't you get yours? It was at that bottom of the email from Madeline Albright asking for just seven more dollars for the DNC, check your spam filter.

My boss has power, my wife has power, I have power, even the democratic governor of my state has power. None of those relationships involve totalitarianism.

Yes, and what is common with all those examples you listed, those people want to stay in power, and when they are secure in that, totalitarianism will soon follow especially when it comes to political power.  There are plenty of examples, look at Venezuela, and how that transition occurred, first it was a revolution led by Hugo, then they took over the courts which made the legislation impotent, and look where they are now.  There are many more, but you can believe or not believe those for yourself.  Today we have the leaders of the Democrat Party stating similar intents, and Joe Biden has changed his position relative to things like court packing, etc., so what is that leading to?

@CanAm1980, has your wife consolidated enough power now in your marriage that you'd classify it as a totalitarian regime? Or is that saved for the 20th anniversary?

I always do what my wife tells me to do, she instructed me to say no, she is not a dictator.

Do you really think American democracy is so fragile, it will not survive a President that you happen to disagree with?

It is not about will it survive with a President I do not agree with, it is about one Party playing the voters to maintain their power, and based on what they are saying, they are ready to take the next step.  It really would not take a whole lot to destroy this country, and signs are pointing that way.  History is rife with examples of empire downfalls due to many factors, and the US is no exception.  Will this happen in my lifetime?  Who knows, but I am not willing to vote for a truly corrupt career politician (yes, I know, this is all OK for DC insiders, it is what they all do) who has limited faculties and changes his position depending on what will keep his Party in power.  We already see what the Dems will do based on the reaction to 2016, and although I know you really don't care to believe any of it, it is what it is.  As to everything else, I prefer to keep my head out of the sand.

"Playing to voters" can also be called 'listening to voters, and striving to meet their needs." I choose to not be paranoid or cynical and remain optimistic that the system will work.

I don't see the evidence to support the corruption claim you tag to Joe Biden.  I don't see these democratic (or Republican) party as totalitarian. I don't feel the need to support the outlandish acting out we are seeing from rabid partisans that are bent on vilifying their fellow countrymen.

I am banking on the adults in this country to step up and express their views peacefully through the ballot box and to live with the results, even if they disagree.  Do you think you can sign up for that commitment?

But for some reason listening to voters needs has little to do with actions when it comes to the Democrats other than to throw out some tokens to maintain power.
