We're in the last stage before the interview here in Bogota and just submitted our paperwork to the embassy. They wrote back telling us we need to send new I-864s and W-2s as ours had expired, and included a link to the CEAC site.

Does anyone know how complicated this could get? Is this a simple case of filling out new I-864s, uploading them, and then scheduling the interview, or will we be in for another months-long wait while the National Visa Center approves documents? Also, neither I nor my father (my wife's co-sponsor since my income is foreign-earned) have W-2s because we're both self-employed...

This is far and away the most miserable bureaucratic process I've ever been through, which is saying something since I've lived in Colombia for the past 6 years. My emotions vary between shock, anger, and desperation at the glacial pace, laborious and redundant forms, and systemic incompetence. Just wanted to let that out in the presence of other people who know what an absolute nightmare this process is.

Anyways, thanks in advance for any help.
