Hello.

I had my medical at st lukes last Oct 15 and lunch same day I was informed that i have to undergo 3 day sputum tomorrow Oct 19 to Wed Oct 21, 2020. I was also told that it will take 2 months for sputum culture results to be available.

If all is well and really praying hard that everything turns out negative both the smear and culture and complete my medical clearance by Dec 21sh, does anyone know the validity of the medical clearance? Is it 3 months or 6 months and from when?

I saw a video on youtube stating that it will be 3 months from issuance of medical clearance by st lukes.

Thanks.

For DOT it is 90 days from the date of the 2nd medical .. this is for those that were found positive and had to complete the medication.

For SPUTUM you are down to about 120 days as the visa is valid for a maximum of 6 months from the date of the medical.  SPUTUM is 60 days.

All of this is bases on the date of the medical, not the date of the interview.

My wife went in on Sept 29 and got flagged too. She finished her 3 day exam on Oct 2. They gave her a paper that said to return on Dec 2 and her medical would expire Feb 21. I don't see how six months is being calculated in there.
