Tourist visas from PH

All they really have to do is try. The decision is not solely based on monthly income tho. As what has mentioned it's on the ties they have in the Philippines. And not even on how many countries a person have been. My family had no experience traveling outside PH when they applied.

As for the ties, my parents have some business that won't operate for long if they were not there and my sister was in high school. I guess that's the reason they were granted tourist's visa.

Getting the tourist visa can be hard, or it can be easy. You'll only find out for sure once they apply.

 

You can increase their chances of getting the visas by:

1. Helping them practice the usual interview questions (lots of samples on VJ) so that they can answer confidently. This is especially important if they aren't confident in English.

2. Technical support. Since they're older, they may not be as conversant with the technology required to fill out the online forms

3. Briefing them on what to expect when they arrive at the US Embassy: no electronics allowed, the lines, the general layout of the windows where they will be interviewed, etc.

 

It also depends on which interviewer they end up with at the Embassy. But that part is out of your control.
