For an abortion?? What?? I was never asked anything like that but I'm not from the Phillipines. Is it legal to ask different medical questions in different countries? That's horrible.

Abortion and divorce are illegal in Philippines so you get "pysch exam" if you have had those in the past.

Good times..........

Good day everyone I have a fiancee and we’ve been talking for about 5 months now,  we have concern about his condition. He is a veteran and diagnosed with mental illness and schizophrenia. He opened to me everything about his conditions and accepted it. As we get to know him I could say that it’s way too far from what his condition in fact he’s a smart guy. The question is can we be denied in the petition if ever he apply for the k1 because of his condition? Thank you all.

Many smart people also have mental illness. Ever heard of John Nash? What a strange statement to make.

More to the point - the point @carmel34makes about the strains mental illness can put on a relationship, and potentially exacerbating his issues if things go wrong. I think the suggestion of spending a lot of time together in person is a good idea, for both your sakes. Many things do not translate well from online to in person, and this is is one of those.

Intelligence does not exclude people from suffering from mental illness. In fact, tgere are tons of highly intelligent people who are diagnosed with all kinds of mental illness. I have a schizophrenic family member and let me just say that his journey has had major effects upon our family, from before his diagnosis til now. It is not a matter of just "accepting" his conditions. It is a matter of understanding and living with those conditions too, which are immense challenges.
