Hi I have applied for my ir1 visa in Pakistan . I have by mistake sent my original nikkah nama English translation to uscis when they asked to notorize it. Now I only have a copy of the notorised document. What should I do? What should I take to interview and what should I say if they ask for orignial

I don’t know what you sent to USCIS.  An original untranslated document.  Or an original translation.

If you sent an original untranslated document then you need to get a replacement document from your government.  Not only will you need it for the K-1 interview, you will need it for your adjustment of status interview in the USA later.  Now is the time, while you are in Pakistan to do that.

If you mean you sent your original notarized translation to USCIS, and still have the original untranslated document, we’ll be thankful for that.  Now get two notarized translations.

Once you have all this sorted, make several copies of the original document and the of the notarized translations.

Bribing all originals and copies with you to the k-1 interview.

Show the CO your original untranslated document, but do not give it to the CO or leave the embassy without it.  Instead give the CO a copy of the untranslated document.  Give the CO one  notarized translation.

When you come to the USA, send copies of the original document and its translation to USCIS for adjustment of status. When you have AOS interview, against bring originals.  And give the officer copies.

I’ve sent the orignial translated notorised document to uscis. And my interview is for the spouse visa which is the IR-1. When asked to upload my civil documents on nvc page, I uploaded a copy of the translated notorised document (since I didn’t hv the orignial anymore). It got accepted. Basically I only have a copy with the notory stamps on it. I can’t get the exact notory done again from the same place on a new document as that will be differnt from the one I uploaded to nvc. THey need to see the original hard copy of whatever was accepted by nvc at the interview.

Whatever you sent to USCIS will be in the file the IO at the embassy has in hand during your interview. So if they already have the original to your copy what's the worry?

Because in Pakistan they have multiple counters before you reach the CO. The first counter is the one asking for orignial documents

Not just in Pakistan. And the person at the first counter will have your file at that moment.

You sent an original notarized translation to USCIS.  You are never getting that document again.

You uploaded a copy of this document to NVC.  You did.  Even though you knew you didn’t have the original.  That’s ok.  You thought USCIS might give it back to you. Or send it to the embassy.  Or something.  So you made a mistake.

So for the interview you need an original notarized translation.  So get one.  Get two actually.  And then at the interview explain your mistake.

OP by their own statement(s) is applying for a spousal visa, not a K-1 visa.

Spousal visa holders do not go through the Adjustment of Status process; they are instead issued a green card after entry to the US on said spousal visa.

Tell the IO officer at the interview what happened. And bring the notarized copy of the original nikkah nama along with the urdu version of it. I never had a English version of my nikkah nama I took the original urdu one with notarized English translation of it.
