Requirements to travel to Dubai from US during covid?

Is Dubai open to incoming travelers right now? My girlfriend and I were looking for a place we could meet up, and we considered Dubai as our best option right now. What are all the requirements for me to exit the US and arrive in Dubai without any issue? Also, can anyone recommend a hotel or airbnb good for an unmarried couple to stay at not too far from the airport there? Thanks.

Not sure on travel situation right now, but you will have no issues staying at any " american" branded hotel. Only a few of the hard core local hotels enforce the proof of marriage to have a woman in the same room as you. I go to Dubai all the time and have had many excellent stays at the holiday inn express hotels. There are many all over the city, including one at the airport I booked for one night to meet my fiancee there while we were waiting for our K1. Dubai is a good meeting point. She had to get a Visa also, but it was a easy process and had no issues getting the visa to visit. The holiday inn express at the airport is great to meet at. Then I stayed at the holiday inn express in technology park, or the IP district I think it is. Nice location to stay close to everything. I recommend you do a dinner cruise on the river/ water. It was reasonable and a good time. Also get some dune bashing and party in the desert with food and dancing, etc. Also make your way to Abu Dubai for the big temple there, and don't miss the world's fastest roller coaster at ferrari world. I can recommend some great ideas if you need any.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Thanks so much, Loren Y. Lots of good advice you gave me there. Do you know if I am required to have travel insurance, or covid insurance, prior to going there?

Just follow the link, it has all the info. Your US, so no visa required, you need proof of insurance. I would check with your  current insurance provider. I have blue cross, and they were able to provide me with a letter showing proof of coverage for international travel. It's good for 90 days. I have gotten a few of them over the past few months, and no issues with international travel. Also a negative test is required. I have been using CVS for covid-19 testing. They are all over the US, easy to schedule online, do the drive thru testing and you will have results in a few days. So schedule the test for 3-4 days before you leave for Dubai and you will have the results the day before you leave. Looks like you have to download a tracking app for them, and the usual mask and temperature screening. But no quarantine required with negative test results, so should be pretty easy to do.

I dont know if this reply is late.

You dont need travel insurance to come to Dubai, my fiance visited from US to Dubai in August and will also be coming to attend my K1 interview this month of Nov.

All you need is negative COVID Test result at least 48hrs prior to your travel time.

Wish you safe journey and hope you will enjoy your stay here in Dubai.

Congrats on your K1 interview being scheduled! that is great and glad you can have your fiance in Dubai for moral support.

Do you know it the embassy is prioritizing K1 interviews over Cr1/IR1? I am not familiar with the K1 process, but have seen more K1 interviews in visa journey posts than CR1/Ir1. Was wondering if you have any insights on that?

Unfortunately I dont think they prioritized any category for now, by next month end will be exactly 1 year that we filled our petition, so I guess they still follows their processing time.

Wishing you all the best.
