Bonafides for embassy CR1 visa interview

Hi all,

I am wondering if you could shed some light on what bona fides the embassy are likely to ask for.

We have our CR1 interview coming up (Nov 17th) in London and our lawyers gave us such a long list of things to print and take for bona fides. Their suggestions include :

my husband's w2

His 2019 tax return

His 2018 tax return

The W7 we filled in to apply for the tax return

A few statements from each of his his credit cards that I am also named on

Documents to show he paid my tuition fees

His 401k with me named as a beneficiary

Our airline tickets back and forth

A couple of his pay slips

His life insurance with me named as beneficiary

A copy of his passport

Photos for the last 15 months

[Plus all the originals (police certs, birth cert, passports etc) - of course those make sense]

Can anyone confirm if it is really necessary to bring ALL of the above? It would be about 150 pages to print out in total, a hefty tome! (and I would be borrowing my housemate's printer to do that, so would rather only print what is necessary)

Those who have had their interview, what did they ask for? What did they not ask for?

Thanks!

@RadChan  MAKE A TIMELINE. What visa are you seeking?

The other comment was from one who interviewed in Mumbai.

For LONDON:

For the I-864 Affidavit of Support

my husband's w2 Goes with the tax return

His 2019 tax return

A couple of his pay slips Optional for I-864  If tax return+W2 shows enough income. Otherwise 6 months worth.

Highly unlikely

His 2018 tax return

The W7 we filled in to apply for the tax return  ITIN number

A few statements from each of his his credit cards that I am also named on

Documents to show he paid my tuition fees

His 401k with me named as a beneficiary

Our airline tickets back and forth

His life insurance with me named as beneficiary

A copy of his passport

Photos for the last 15 months

Thanks. I put in both my post and the post's title that it was CR1 - are there more specifics you need beside that?

I filled in all the timeline details, too, a couple of weeks ago and it took much longer than it should have. No idea why it isn't showing.

When I first started, I had mine all messed up with two different email address or timelines or something. Couldn’t figure out why it didn’t show either. Somebody sorted it out. No clue, but I can identify.
