Verbal 'approvals' at interviews are not actual approvals.  It is not approved until the CEAC status says 'ISSUED.'

Additionally, there is currently a ban on Nigerian citizens immigrating to the US.  Was a waiver mentioned during the interview?

You can definitely call or email to get an update.  It sounds like it is in administrative processing.

Oh Wow, Did the CO state the reason why you were asked to submit National ID?

A friend of mine too was asked to submit Identity documents which includes National ID and I heard some people have been asked to submit new medical reports in order to get the visa Issued
