Does anyone know if the Dublin Embassy will still be open / doing interviews if Ireland goes into level 4?

I’m in a panic and wondering the same now that ireland will go into a level 5 starting Wednesday. This is just so ridiculous

Had my Visa medical at Mater today, I asked the lady who took my details about it. She said that they'll keep doing the visa medical and nothing's changed for them so she doubts that the embassy will stop doing interviews.

I guess we'll see tomorrow. If the embassy closes it should be announced on their website.

That's good to hear! I hope and pray that she is right!

Looks like she was wrong, got this just now as you did I'm sure.

Embassy Dublin has suspended all routine services and postponed all upcoming immigrant visa interviews.

I am so saddened by this! Dublin Embassy stayed closed longer than others (like the UK) and now they are shutting down again! We had our interview on Friday (luckily) but our case hasn't been updated online so now I'm worried that with the shutdown they will just hold onto my husband's passport for a minimum of 6 weeks and we'll still be stuck being apart. He just sent the Embassy an email today asking if they will still finish processing Visas that have already been approved, but who knows if we'll get a response.

Was supposed to interview today but was also cancelled on Wednesday. Was speaking to someone from the embassy and they said they were following public health guidelines. So hopefully if the restrictions are lifted in 6 weeks that they will begin rescheduling the cancelled interviews.

@JenIE I hope they keep processing what they already approved and ye see movement soon.

I'm so sorry about everyone's interviews that have been cancelled. I really hope they reopen as soon as the Level 5 restrictions lift and you get to have your interview.

We sent an email to the Embassy shopping whether they would continue processing Visas that had already had interviews and received the following reply:

Thank you for your recent email. We can confirm that our office will continue the processing of cases that were under processing prior to the restrictions being implemented. Processing delays will occur due to extremely limited staff and resources.

Regards,
IV Unit

So that's some good news for us at least. I checked our status online and it still hasn't changed from "Ready" but the Case Last Updated date changed yesterday, so maybe we'll hear something soon.
