Filling Online - Beneficiary Immigration Information - Confusing and Required Fields

I am working on the I-130 form for my spouse.  Filing online.

Section: Marriage Information

Online filing is asking how many times beneficiary has been married. He has only been married 1 time (to me).

However, the form is requesting to input 'When did the beneficiary's last marriage end'

  • He never had a previous marriage, but this field cannot be left blank either. help?

Section: Beneficiary Immigration Information

No fields are allowed to be left blank, however, they are not applicable in our case. What is the suggested way of completing the form?

My spouse:

  • Visited me in the US via a B1/B2 visa
  • He does not have a permanent residence card

The fields are requesting for arrival and expiration dates and I do not know how to fill these out properly considering it is pertaining to the Permanent Resident card

Are you sure the form does not allow you to leave those fields blank?  We filed online too and I'm looking at our case snapshot right now.  All of those fields you asked about are blank in our case, except for the one about I-94.

For the question on I-94, is your husband currently in the US?  If not, put "Not Applicable - Not in the US".  I-94 records actually apply to visitors too.

The simple solution to the shortcomings of the online form is to file by mail.

Thanks, I've gone over it numerous times and still have these issues. I ended up adding it in the 'Additional Notes' details but worry this is going to add to delays and/or confusion for the reviewer.

I'll try to see if I could just reset it again somehow so that I could leave them blank instead.

I looked over the form again online. The previous page might be what you're talking about. this is the page where I did and was able to mark that they do not have a residence card.  The next page is where I encounter the issue in which date fields are being expected to be filled out along with 'Beneficiary's Code'

Nope, I was referring to the section on Beneficiary Immigration Information.  Class of admission, date of arrival, stay expiration are all definitely blank in our case snapshot.  We filled out the I-94 record question with "Not Applicable - Not in US".

What error message are you getting when you try to leave those fields blank?
