Questions such as:

- Have you ever been a member of a terrorist group?

- Have you ever done work for your home countries Government?

- Is your intent in the USA to commit espionage against the United States?

- Have you ever murdered one or more persons?

- Do you have any intent on overthrowing the US Government?

The only marriage related questions was:

- When did you get married?

- What address do you live at?

And she's from Philippines, right?  Filipina women are probably in one of the lowest risk group of immigrants for things such as espionage.  Sounds like someone was reading verbatim from the handbook, rather than responding to actual concerns.

Those questions are already in the application,  they simply ask them again.

YMMV

Reading verbatim from the i485 itself.   Same questions my wife was asked

YMMV

I don't know, I feel with Covid everything is possible. Maybe that's just how the IO does things and if he would have gotten suspicious about something they would have called you in too.

That's what I'm thinking.  In my field (health care), we are definitely limiting the number of extra people present as part of social distancing.  I'm sure the feds are doing the same.  Several here on VJ said that their AOS interviews were even done via iPad (whilst being in the USCIS building), so reduce the face-to-face interaction.

OP, the more you have described this process, the more I think you have nothing to worry about at all.  Btw, our interview was on 1/30/20 (right before COVID hit here at ground zero in Seattle), and even then it took 3 weeks post interview for the 'new card is being produced' message to appear on our USCIS account.  Don't be surprised if it takes a couple of weeks.

Best of luck and please let us know how it goes.

Right, I was thinking of these cases. Every field office probably has discretion about how they conduct interviews during this time and that's how they do it there. Spouses of deployed military members have their interviews alone all the time and get approved.

The IO was just going through the I485 questionnaire like they always do. So I don't see anything worrisome here

Thank you.  I'll update everyone when we find out.  Most appreciated.

You're making too big a deal of it, relax.  You didn't have an adjustment of status interview, she did.  You're only there to show your support.

It is still nerve-wracking for the spouse as well.  As we all know, so much is riding on the outcome.

AOS is actually a couple interview where it does depend on both so it's understandable that OP is irritated that he wasn't part of it.

Those questions are all on the I-485 form, I attended AOS interview with my wife  few yrs ago and the officer asked me all the Yes and No questions. Then asked my wife 3 questions,  that was it.

You should be good .

OK, I looked this up.  If this were a Stokes interview, they would have also interviewed me.  I was never called in, nor did they speak to me.  Just her.  She said it was extremely friendly, but nearly all of the questions were related to national security.  The only relationship questions were "What date did you get married" and "What address do you live at?"

I saw this in St. Louis. You did not have a Stokes interview. My wife and I were interviewed together. There were other couples that only one the wife was interviewed. Their interviews went fine. I think it depends on the preference of the interviewer. You are fine.

Finally done...

My wife and I were separated during our Adjustment of Status interview.  In fact, they never called me in.  For her, they asked her very few questions about our marriage, mostly national security questions.

Has anyone else had this happen?  I'm reviewing others posts, and this feels like an unusual situation.

But why would you want to give information which they would use against you?
