Have you seen the latest David Copperfield (Dickens novel, not the magician)? It's supposed to be brilliant and the casting was race-blind. I think it can make for an interesting experiment when the performances are great. I've got it in my queue after I finish watching Jane Eyre (the one with Ruth Wilson).

They have done this before. Did you ever see The Hollow Crown? Sophie Okonedo was fierce as Queen Margaret in part two. I'm always one for historical accuracy as I said before though, but there are productions that tend to focus just on acting chops alone.

It was very good, but I'm always there for anything with Tilda Swinton. Iannucci's other film (and personal favorite) The Death of Stalin did the same thing.
