Can anyone shed any light...

:innocent:

I have to send of a duplicate DS-156 form (not the DS-156K) anyway the packet 3 letter tells me to send in a duplicate and to NOT sign it....

The form however says to sign it....

I know the DS-156K says do not sign (you do it at the embassy) and the letter would make sense if they meant the DS-156K, but I don't get it....

Anyone else doing this form or done it?

What have you all done??

When I filled up the DS-156, I signed it already even though my interview is 2 month before that ( In Manila Embassy, we submit it during the interview) Then I signed the DS-156K infront of the consul when he asked me to signed it.

Just a guess, but I'm quite sure my fiance did exactly as the instructions in packet 3 asked him to.

They have their procedures (and reasons for them) at the consulate. Best advice is to do what they ask...!

Yup, every consulate has it's own idiosyncrasies...do what your specific one asks, the instructions are there to be adhered to!
