How long does it take for NVC to respond and schedule an interview after the submission of all documents ?

Keeping the pandemic into consideration, is here any case going through the same drill ?

I come under F2A category and my spouse is a permanent resident of US. My i130 has been approved earlier this year. But I submitted my documents to NVC this month only.

What to expect next ?

So you submitted your documents via the CEAC website, correct?

In my case, it took about 2 months when they informed me that it is documentarily complete.

Assuming that they are satisfied with the documents that you submitted, I think it should take about the same time that mine did. If in case they request for additional documents, it will take longer because I believe they will treat it as a new submission altogether. Periodically check the CEAC website and see if there are any messages that they send you.

Once they inform you that your documents are complete, they will then transmit the same to the appropriate consular office that will process it.  That can be a bit longer than usual since most consular offices are working on a reduced staff, and I believe most of them are also not processing family-based petitions of permanent residents. Before it takes anywhere between 30-90 days for the consular office to schedule the interview, but like I said, it can be longer because of this pandemic.

Good luck and let me know if there's any other questions that I can help you with.

Remember F2A visa issuance is currently banned till at least Jan 2021 under the presidential proclamation, so interviews will only take place after that, and your place in line will depend on how many cancelled and backlogged people (from first the March covid shutdowns and then the ban) are ahead of you at your embassy.

I think the presidential ban was on new H-1B, L-1, H-2B and certain J-1 nonimmigrants, as well as their spouses and dependents.

But not for the spouses of LPRs who are coming on F2A.

Let's hope for the best

You’re thinking of the second (June) ban. The first one, in April, banned all family categories other than spouse and minor children of US citizens; this was then extended with the June one that you refer to until the end of the year.

F2A visa category is banned until the end of 2020 (assuming the ban is not extended).  Only spouses and minor children of US citizens, plus a few other cases, are exempted from the ban.  Family of LPRs are not exempted.

Incorrect, visas for spouses of LPRs are currently banned through the end of 2020.  Depending on the election outcome, this could change.

Well, it won’t change being banned before the end of 2020. The election outcome might affect whether or not is extended again.

Certainly won't be shortened as inauguration day is in late January

YMMV
