Yes it was an actual rejection. the whole thing was sent back due to the errors mentioned above.

That's why I'm wondering if we need to submit any of the stuff from the first packet that got rejected, or all new evidence photocopies, passport size photos, etc. They sent back my check as well with a DHS stamp on it.

Re-print all new, fresh forms with the errors corrected.  If the evidence is not noted, you can use it, since there were no actual "issues" with that part of it (for now anyways).  I would verify that the check was not cashed (check your bank account).  If it was not cashed, then void it and write a new one to submit with the new packet.  Everyone so far is giving you somewhat the same answer.  You may be getting confused because some VJers are more laid back than others.  As long as you submit the most recent forms with the errors fixed and the same evidence (if it doesn't have USCIS notations), you should be fine.

As far as I can tell there was no issue with the evidence - even the I864 was fine. I think it was just that we checked the wrong box for question 2 on the 485, which made the whole packet wrong. It sounds like having the little USCIS numbers on the bottom won't be an issue, so I guess I'll reuse the evidence then. Thank you for your patience

Okay, I've got everything almost ready to send.. I just want to double check a couple things.

They rejected our I485 and I765 due to errors, but the I864 seemed to be fine. We didnt get a rejection notice for it. They sent it back though since the whole packet was rejected. Do I need to re-sign the 864 form, or can I submit the same one that was returned to me as is, since there was no issue with it?

Also, I assume it's okay for us to use the same 2x2 photographs since they're only a month old at this point?
