Maybe they did him a favor by blackening it out the photo. He may not even be with the same boyfriend years down the road. ;)

True. The real victims here are the straight couples, most of whom will break up right after prom or during their first semester of college and their yearbook will preserve that couple FOREVER, along with their bad hair and teenage acne and dedication to Coldplay.

I figure if you allow pictures of couples kissing in the yearbook, it really shouldn't matter the composition of the couple.

We don't believe in a straighforward tyrany of the majority in this country.

interesting, you're trying to get us to believe gay couples don't split up?

No. I'm not. I'm saying that the claim that 'they're doing the gay couples a favor by not letting them in the yearbook because they might break up' is competing for the dumbest thing I've read today, though the fact that you misread me so badly as to think that I was saying that gay couples never break up is coming in a close second.

Did you have a picture in your yearbook of you with your girlfriend? Did you marry her? Are you still together? No? Has it haunted your life that it's in your yearbook? No? Did you need emotional therapy because you were shown with someone you were not with for all time? No? Why would think that a high school gay couple would be any different?

if you're not trying to say that, then why bother saying "The real victims here are the straight couples, most of whom will break up right after prom or during their first semester of college and their yearbook will preserve that couple FOREVER, along with their bad hair and teenage acne and dedication to Coldplay."

perhaps a bit more thought prior to posting on your part is in order ;)

if you say so. i see it as the straights being portrayed as victims, the gays the only ones with lasting relationships, by the way she wrote that. just more negative comments about straight people by the vj liberals.

Charles, it was obviously humor/sarcasm. How did you pass high school?

Straight sarcasm, charles. In response to a claim that the yearbook is doing the gay people a favor by discriminating against them. The sarcasm is that the straights MUST be the victims because the yearbook didn't show them the same consideration.

Jesus Christ Charles, neither does she. Do you understand yet or should someone draw you a picture?

PS, are you trying to get a jab in about my age? I graduated about two or three years after your wife, I'd imagine. :)

I have to believe that Charles is not this obtuse and is just trying to wind us up.

From the article:
"It looked provocative," she said. "If it was either heterosexual or gay, it should have been blacked out. It's how they posed for the picture."

Russell Garris, the assistant superintendent who oversees the city's high schools, brought the photograph to Bolden's attention Thursday afternoon. He was concerned the picture would be controversial and upsetting to parents, Bolden said.

There are several photos of heterosexual couples kissing in the yearbook, but the superintendent said she didn't review the entire yearbook and was presented only with Jackson's page....

Rules for publication of the pages prohibited shots of gang signs, rude gestures and graphic photos, said Benilde Barroqueiro, an East Side senior graduating with Jackson.

"You know, it couldn't be too provocative. No making out, no tongue," she said.

I nearly hurled the 3 beers I drank earlier when I saw that. That would have been a severe case of alcohol abuse. Waste not, want not, is my motto.

Next time give a warning when posting these photos. Beer money don't come cheap.

Rrrrawr, me manly man. Me drink beer. Me very straight. Hear me roar.

I'd like to see that ####### ring test done on any man who says it bothers him to see two gay men kissing...you know the one where they measure the man's arousal while having him watch gay porn.

totally off the subject, but the ####### ring...reminds me of my college days..i was in rehab. institute, and one of the professors, dr harry rubin, did a study on cannabis and sexual arouser...well, they let you smoke free pot and watch porn..and i ask how much i had to pay to get in the study..i was amazed.,.nothing!

anyway, i vol. and was a subject..got wasted and they had a baseline priopr..that is, showed different quick photos of mountains..an airplane etc..well, when that robin was pulling that worm out of a hole./. my findings were invalid. .i did finally, enjoy the porn too..wow, what a day....i love science !
