My boyfriend is an Indian citizen with a valid 10 year B1/B2 to the US. He is hoping to come and visit for my birthday.

Can anyone confirm that non-US citizens from India can come to the US currently on a B1/B2 visa to NOT visit immediate family? Or does anyone have experience with traveling into the US during COVID.

Thanks so much!

Make sure his flight is not layover in Schegen, And those countries on ban list. A visa is not guaranteed for his entry, and he needs to be truthful when he is asked for his trip purpose.

As always, entry to the US is at the discretion of CBP.  They care less about why your boyfriend wants to visit the US and more about why he would return to India on time.  When asked, answer truthfully.

Indian citizens are not banned from entry, provided they have not been present in any of the countries covered under the travel ban proclamation.  That includes transits on the way to the US.

"Entry of aliens who were present in China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau), Iran, and certain countries in the European Union within 14 days prior to their arrival at the port of entry in the United States is suspended, per Presidential Proclamation."

CDC guidelines for travel are recommendations, not federal requirements.  But states do have their own requirements, so OP should advise her boyfriend about the requirements for international/out-of-state travelers to her state.
